10-month educational training program with a structured curriculum that utilizes coursework, field trips, workshops, and on-farm employment to provide candidates with hands-on knowledge of farming in the Southeast.
The goal is to provide a practical training and experiential education for South Carolina’s next generation of local farmers and community food system leaders. Program fees include $25 for application processing and $2,000 for program tuition.*Apprentices will be paid for their work on mentor farmer's land and scholarships and payment plans are available.
Application deadline for 2014 season is February 1, 2014.Mavenjoy replies:
