Earaches - Tea Tree
My parents had an adorable toy poodle (Sugar) and like most poodles she'd get ear infections a lot if her ears weren't cleaned ALOT.
She was a very high strung little pup so getting her ears cleaned was awful. Not only would she freak out at the salon, but she wouldn't eat or drink for days following.
I finally convinced my parents to put a couple of drops of tea tree into her ears every week - just so that they could cut the trips to the salon in the half without resulting in more ear aches for poor Sugar.
Sugar, not surprisingly didn't like this weekly ritual, but I'm sure she preferred it to the salon. And, my parents ended up saving quite a bit of money over the years!Mavenjoy replies:
Yes! Thank you for adding tea tree to our favorite natural pet remedies!
Tea tree oil is considered an especially good anti-fungal and antibacterial aid for many skin conditions too. Thanks Susanna!
Note: Remember to check tea tree strength and/or dilution ratios for different applications and consider patch testing an area before using.
