Farmers Apprentice needed for Talkeetna Grown CSA and market garden at Birch Creek Ranch in Talkeetna, Alaska.


We are a semi-remote Alaskan Homestead Farm that has been expanding our vegetable production as we transition to a new generation. We are marketing our vegetables locally through a CSA with 40 members and participating at several farmers markets.

Apprentices will live at farm in a small dry cabin or camper trailer with shared cooking facilities and outhouse. Work aside a new farmer taking the reigns of a small family farm. Participate in all aspects of farm work and managment including directing volunteer and wwoofer helper in planting and harvest. We are an extreme northern growing area and many techniques are used to grow a large variety from squash and corn in tunnels to greens and brassicas in the field.
