We're rolling out our spin on healthy cooking recipes straight from our home stash. Truth be told, we eat a lot so we cook a lot, or maybe we cook so much so we can eat so much. Whatever the reason, healthy cooking has become our source for entertainment, creativity, mindfulness practice and yes, health. Trying new foods and eliminating others keeps us on our toes and challenges our ingenuity while connecting us to what our bodies may need (and not need too!).
So how do we do that and what makes these healthy cooking recipes? For us, taste, health and conscious choices go hand in hand for recipes that positively affect us, others and the environment we all share. Our guide is to use made-from-scratch or real food ingredients that are as natural or organic as we can find, mostly grown in season from independent farms and food producers or bought locally as much as possible. Taking the time to find, cook and eat food in this way helps us slow down, stay grateful and better connected to our food sources, the stories behind them and to better health.
